I'm Daan. I'm 25, I sell for a living, and for a long time money was just something that happened to me. I never really understood it.
I didn't grow up with much. My parents worked hard and still counted every euro, so I learned early that money was something you survived, not something you could actually get your head around. Nobody in our house ever saw the full picture. My parents didn't. I definitely didn't.
So I did what you do when no one teaches you. I guessed. I earned, I spent, and by the end of most months I genuinely couldn't tell you where it had gone. Money I could have put aside, money that might have grown, just slipped away without me ever once deciding to let it go.
